Two people meet in a public place, they build a piece of flat pack furniture together. It’s not for either of them, it’s for someone else. They have a conversation whilst they are building it. Some people watch, others walk by; some people offer to lend a hand. Once the furniture is built it’s loaded up into a van and taken to its new home.
Make yourself comfortable is an exhibition of physical and verbal negotiation between two strangers united by a common goal: to make someone else a little bit more comfortable in the world.
