Façade Theatre

During my final year of my degree  and during my MA, I worked with another two other female artists, Samantha Vickeridge & Natasha McNicholas, making work as Façade Theatre.

We made 3 things together.

Celladour

celladour

3 women emerge from a box, the same but different. A man speaks for them, tells their story, his version of it at least. They are in competition with each other, but not really sure why. They complete their tasks and confetti rains, but they end up back in the box anyway.

Cellardour was a 45 minute performance exploring the ugliness of beautification across different cultures, past and present.

Commissioned as part of SHIFT Festival @ Contact Theatre 2014.

Here, alone (together)

Facade

A tryptic multimedia installation behind a curtain. Here, alone (together) invited audience to experience the British seaside through the eyes and ears of a recent migrant missing the one they love.

Durational.

Presented at Gift Festival, Gateshead 2010 & Media City, Salford 2011

The Scent Tent

peg

A playful, interactive intervention, taking audience on a journey of smell in a 3 X 3 pop up gazebo.

People were asked questions and given the tools to create their own signature scent.

The Scent Tent looked at the language used in the perfume industry, asking what are we buying into?

Commissioned by Sensored Festival @ Contact Theatre, Manchester 2015
